PWC STARS SHINE Under the direction of country singer Clint Black, Yamaha Water Vehicles teamed up with the Northwest's foremost extreme rider Johnny "Blowsion", Dady, freestyler Laura Nunes, and Sea-World star Al Nunes in the production of an upcoming country music video. Filming took place August 5, 6 and 7 at the posh Paradise Cove in Malibu. This sunny California resort is a private beach (off-limits to PWC under normal circumstances). But the rule became an exception as the Yamaha trailer arrived at the shoot, filled with PWC just waiting to be ridden. Comedian Howie Mandell, Baywatch star David Hasselhoff, Lisa Hartman, Black and many other celebrities were on hand to participate in the video and to check out what this surf-riding thing was all about. Teamwork between PWC riders and Black's production crew made shooting a breeze. "The experience was a totally positive representation of jetskiing," said Dady. Although the most frequently asked question was "just what does jetskiing have to do with a country music video?" I think the ear to ear grins on everyone's faces as they came in answered that question. - Laura Ann Maden.
