Nike and Blowsion Kolors team together to give the home-state University of Oregon Ducks the most technologically advanced, stylishly exotic, and all-out bitchin' helmets, uniforms, and promotional equipment.

Representatives from Nike's Team Design Dept. approached Blowsion Kolors in April/May of '98 seeking help in re-designing an "unnamed / top secret" football team's helmet. With secrecy contract in hand, Team Blowsion set about developing a color that would, in Nike's words, "look like the color spectrum reflected in the head of a mallard duck" (Hmmm, we thought. Wonder which team that would be for...?)

With four designs in hand, a delivery schedule that allowed only for work (no sleep), and a burning desire to update a team with an existing mascot that strongly resembles Donald Duck (a good lesson in how NOT to scare your opponents), we entered the artwork design zone. The results are what you see here!!

After creating the original run of prototype helmets, (and seeing nothing but color change green in our future) we recommended to Nike that the bulk run of production helmets be processed at Riddel (the helmet manufacturer). However, the story does not end there.

With approval (of course) from the U of O Athletic Dept., Nike and Blowsion set out to design some complementary promotional items. We were looking for something that would be eye catching, limited edition, and scare the competition into submission! The ensuing Humvee, Harley, Harley rider chrome helmet, and the "Aggro-Duck" character were born at Blowsion over a period of six months (April '99-Sept. '99).
